Ann Bisantz is a SUNY Distinguished Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering and has served as UB’s Dean of Undergraduate Education since 2018. She holds a PhD from Georgia Tech and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UB. Her research focuses on cognitive engineering, human decision-making, human-computer interface design, and complex work systems analysis. Recognized with multiple awards, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award (2015) and the HFES Paul M. Fitts Educator Award (2017), she was named an HFES Fellow in 2013 and appointed to the National Academies Board on Human System Integration in 2024. She has been with UB since 1997.
