Naomi Fertman is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Women’s and Gender Studies program and the Community Outreach Specialist for UTEP's Center for Community Engagement. Her research focuses on reproductive justice, community engagement, and education equity, particularly how student parents access higher education. She holds master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health from New Mexico State University.
