Dr. Eric D. Smith is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in the Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering (IMSE) Department. He holds degrees in Physics, Systems Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Systems and Industrial Engineering, along with a J.D. in Law. His research spans systems engineering, cognitive science, multi-criteria decision making, financial equity, and legal frameworks. Dr. Smith was a founding member of UTEP's Master of Science in Systems Engineering Program.
